Just ended is Unmarried and Single Americans Week, a time to recognize this ever-growing segment of our population that is, for better or worse, unwed (the original title, National Singles Week, was amended because many unmarried people do not relate to the term “single,” as they have partners, are parents or are widowed). To mark the occasion, the Census Bureau released some data that may surprise you:
