Robert L. Wilhelm, World War II Army Veteran, 82, passed away on September 28, 2006. Oak Park resident, formerly of Forest Park, devoted husband of the late Merla, nee O’Connor, for 53 years; loving father to Elizabeth (Patrick) Nevins of River Forest, Thomas (Kimberly) Wilhelm of Fox Lake; grandfather to Robert (Michelle) Powell of Plainfield, Amy (Scott) Lee of Huntley and (Big) Grandpa to Austin, Kaden, Jackson, Dylan and Mya. A Military Honors service will be celebrated for Robert Wilhelm at 12 p.m. on Friday, October 6, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 27034 South Diagonal Rd, Elwood IL.
