Terrell Owens has an uncanny knack to be at his best when the spotlight on him has been the brightest and when things around him have been the strangest. That wasn’t exactly the case Sunday. He played relatively well to end a turbulent week in which he spent a night in a hospital for an accidental overdose and then denied a report that he’d tried to kill himself. “Once I step on the football field, it’s all football,” Owens said. He played with his surgically repaired finger protected by a plate and a glove on his right hand and nearly had a juggling TD, but the officials ruled the ball hit the ground. Owens ended his day by giving his shoes to Titans cornerback Pacman Jones. “He asked for my shoes, so I gave them to him,” he said. “He’s going to have to put some tissue in those shoes. Those are some big shoes to fill.”
Weird week doesn’t slow T.O.
