Trekkers, get ready to replicate some cash.

You’ll need it if you want to buy a piece of “Star Trek” history this week. Christie’s in New York City will begin a three-day auction called “40 Years of Star Trek: The Collection” on Thursday. Items on the block include costumes, props, set designs and models from all the TV shows and movies.

The total value of the 1,000 lots is estimated at $3 million, according to Christie’s. And nothing’s cheap. For example, a 22-inch Starship Enterprise-A model that was in three of the “Star Trek” movies is estimated at $15,000 to $20,000.
