Robert “Bob” M. Curran, age 72, of Gurnee, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006. He was born on Feb. 19, 1934 in South Boston, MA. Surviving Bob are his brothers, Joseph Curran of Canton, MA and Jack Curran of Milton, MA; sisters, Mary (James) DiPerri of South Boston, MA and Sister Barbara Ann Curran; daughter of Charity of Wilmington, DE and Noreen (Arnold) Gatto of South Boston, MA; sister-in-law, Patricia Curran of Weymouth, MA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Nora, nee Naughton, Curran; brothers, Thomas Curran and Martin Curran; and sister-in-law, Claire Curran. Bob was a United States Army Veteran. He served 50 years with Babe Ruth Baseball, he was an International Board Member, Chairman of the Board and Executive Consultant to the President. He was also a Vice President at Kemper Insurance Companies in Long Grove, IL, retiring after 51 years. Friends and family may meet on Friday, Oct. 6, 2006 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd, Gurnee. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Rd, Gurnee with Father Farrell Kane of Gurnee, IL and Father Thomas McDonnell of South Boston, MA officiating.
