Melanie Everett, age 80, died Wednesday, October 4, 2006. Mother of four daughters, Mrs. Caroline Rogers of Chicago, Mrs. Liska Blodgett of Glencoe, Mrs. Janicka Bassis of Paris, France and Maggie Galloway of New Buffalo, MI; also survived by eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services 10 a.m. Saturday in Fourth Presbyterian Church, 126 E. Chestnut St., Chicago. Mrs. Everett, who came to the country after escaping in 1948 from Communist Czechoslovakia and built a career in Real Estate.
