This is in response to “Teen-driver task force set; State panel to focus on curbing fatalities” (Metro, Aug. 30). Doubling the length of time young drivers hold learner’s permits before getting their licenses is an effective step.
When I was in driver’s education, the regulations required only 25 hours of practice and I felt that it was a bit too lenient.
The more practice you get, the better driver you become.
