– Keisha Castle-Hughes, 16, who was nominated for a best-actress Oscar for 2002’s “Whale Rider,” is expecting a baby in the spring. The father is her boyfriend of three years, Bradley Hull, 19.
– Farrah Fawcett, recently found to have cancer, said Friday she is maintaining a positive attitude. “I am determined to bite the bullet and fight the fight while going through the next six weeks of cutting edge, state-of-the-art treatment,” the 59-year-old actress said in a statement. “I should be able to return to my life as it was before.” Her publicist didn’t say what kind of cancer Fawcett has but said it was recently diagnosed and involves a fast-growing tumor.
– A private jet company has sued Jennifer Lopez for allegedly not paying for flights. Avjet Corp. of Burbank, Calif., filed suit Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, seeking nearly $35,000 for two flights on Gulfstream jets from Farmingdale, N.Y. — one to Puerto Rico on Jan. 26, and another to Burbank on May 25. No comment was available from Lopez’s camp.
