Chicago: Clear skies and chilly temperatures start the day, maybe even some scattered light frost in the far west and south suburbs. Southerly winds and sunshine allow temperatures to warm quickly through the 40s and 50s during the morning, reaching into the 70s by mid afternoon.

HIGH: 72

LOW: 52

Note: Predicted high and low temperatures on the Tribune weather page are chronological–the “high” refers to the maximum reading expected during the day and the “low” is the minimum reading expected the following night.
