The word of the day: Homecoming.
“The Colbert Report” star Stephen Colbert is headed back to Northwestern to lead the university’s Homecoming parade, UPI reports.
Colbert was named grand marshal of the Oct. 20 parade. He graduated in 1986 and landed at Second City, eventually turning heads as a reporter on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show.”
Now, his influence is vast and powerful. A minor-league hockey team in Saginaw, Mich., recently named one of its mascots Steagle Colbeagle the Eagle after he asked for it on his show.
Let’s see Bill O’Reilly or Keith Olbermann pull that off.
