Robert T. Knoff, 95, of Palatine and formerly Mundelein, died at HCR Manor Care, Rolling Meadows, on October 7, 2006.A World War II Army veteran, he was a retired Suburban Circulation Division Manager of the Chicago Tribune. Bob began work at the Chi cago Evening American in 1927 and retired from the Tribune in 1976. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marion, nee Chute; daughter Robin (Rudy) Ortiz; granddaughter Kathleen Hiscox; son Thomas (Barb) Knoff, stepgrandson Scott Cohen; granddaughters Elissa and Mere dith Knoff; sister Jacqueline (William) Schlo bohm; nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Emma; brother Jack, sisters and brothers-in-law Marie (Harold) Erickson, Annette (Robert) Rauschenberg and Frances (Vernon) Miller and Thomas (Jean) Chute. No visitation. Interment private. A memorial gath ering will be announced. Please omit flowers.
