Ethel B. “Pat” Murphy, age 88, of Batavia, formerly Chicago, Oak Park, River Forest and Broadview, died Wednesday at Michealsen Health Center, in Batavia. She was born Nov. 25, 1917 in Chicago, IL. She is survived by her son Douglas (Barbara) Murphy of St. Charles; five grandchildren Valeri (Emil) Picchi of Wayne, Christopher (Cathy) Murphy of Bloomingdale, Sharon (Brian) Gallo of West Chicago, Robin and Brenda Murphy of Bloomingdale; five great-grandchildren Regina, Diana, Christina Picchi, Christopher Jr. Murphy, Alex Gabriel; also several nieces and nephes and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Bruce Murphy. Also her parents and nine brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held 3:30 Friday at Union Cemetery, St. Charles. Visitation will be held Friday from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at the Yurs Funeral Home, St. Charles.
