– T.I. received eight nominations Thursday for the BET Hip-Hop Awards, which will be aired Nov. 15. Busta Rhymes is next with six nods, Chamillionaire got five, while Yung Joc and Lupe Fiasco each received four.
– John Forsythe has been treated for colon cancer and is recovering at a hospital, his spokesman said Thursday. The “Dynasty” and “Charlie’s Angels” star, who is 88, “seems to be in good spirits,” Harlan Boll said. “They hope to have him home this weekend.”
– Denni Sayers, who served as choreographer for Lyric Opera’s production of Strauss’ “Salome,” has withdrawn because of her husband’s illness. She has been replaced by choreographer Jane Comfort. The opera runs Oct. 21-Nov. 21 at the Civic Opera House.
