Eliminating the big mistake is quarterback Andrew Brewer’s big goal as he starts his third straight game Saturday. “We think those are freshman mistakes,” offensive coordinator Garrick McGee said of Brewer, who is grading out “pretty good.” Added McGee: “He made two critical errors in the third quarter of both games he has played–the interception at Penn State was slightly late and the interception [for a touchdown] against Wisconsin, I think he panicked and they went right to the side he sprinted to.” Brewer has completed 48.8 percent of his passes with no touchdowns and two interceptions. He has rushed 46 times for 154 yards and two TDs.
