George “Juja” Vezmar, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006. He is survived by loving wife, Sophija, of 60 years; beloved father of Mary (Steve) Barach and Peter (Diane) Vezmar; loving “Deda Juja” of Dawn, Mike (Nikole) Barach, Nada (Mike) Grubisich, Vera (Mitch) Mileusnic, Elena and Kristina Vezmar; sweet great-grandfather “Deda Juja” to Michael, Mara, Danielle, Daniel, Alexa, Sofia, Steven, Luke, Dara, Danica and Mark; dear brother of Nikola, Zora, Milka, Stefanija and related families; fond brother-in-law to Milica (late Uros) Vezmar and family. Also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, kumovi and dear friends. Retired employee of Republic Steel. Founding member of St. Simeon Serbian Orthodox Church, past President of Jovan Jovanovich Zmaj church choir, longtime supporter and former member of Diocesan Council of New Grananica Metropolitinate, lifelong member of Organization Serbian Chetniks-Ravna Gora, member of Serbian National Defense Council. Funeral Services Friday, Oct. 13, 2006 at St. Simeon Mirotocivi Serbian Orthodox Church. Will lie in state at church from 8:30 a.m. until time of Service at 9 a.m. Very Rev. Luka Lukic officiating. Interment Most Holy Mother of God Cemetery, Third Lake, IL. Visitation at the Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S.
