I have often wondered why anyone would want to be anything other than liberal. Open-mindedness, interest in and concern for others seem to me to be the best attributes to have in order to thrive in a complicated, competitive world.
Liberals are all about listening and give-and-take, while holding on to strong opinions and values. American liberals are fiercely protective of the Constitution and a justice system that protects the rights of all who come before it. And as an added bonus, liberals have a healthy sense of humor.
