Robert T. “Bob” Bearce, age 86, loving brother of Patricia (late Norman) Gohl; dear uncle of Susan (David) McCurdy; great-uncle of Margaret and Douglas McCurdy. He is also survived by his good friend, Leonard Clarke. Bob was a nationally known award winning daylily hybridizer, holding numerous positions in the American Hemerocallis Society, The Chicagoland Daylily Society and the North Shore Iris and Daylily Society. He was also well known for his acrylic paintings, a hobby of his after retirement. Chapel Services will be on Monday, Oct. 16, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Ridgewood Cemetery, 9900 N. Milwaukee Ave., Des Plaines, IL. A Memorial Service for Bob will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity in his name.
