Ross Wesley Trace, born July 16, 1988, passed away on October 13, 2006 in Deerfield. He was the son of Ron and Gail Trace; grandchild of Albert and Wynell Segreti and Lester and Rella Trace; brother of Matthew, Jonathan, twin brother of Jesse. Ross will be remembered for his loving heart, his adventurous, creative mind, his determination and commitment to the things he loved. Ross was the shining light in our lives. He was a beautiful boy with a sharp wit and a gentle heart. To see him grow into a man, alongside his surviving twin brother Jesse, was an unparalleled pleasure that the pain in our hearts will never allow us to forget. Our Ross was a fierce competitor that could always be found in the weight rooms and playing fields of Deerfield High School. Through God-given talent and determination, he was able to make State in pole vaulting as a junior; an event that he had “picked up” only a year before. Words cannot describe the pride we felt in knowing Ross; nor the sorrow we shall always feel in seeing our shining light senselessly snuffed out. We love you always, Ross. We will carry your memory in our hearts forever and will celebrate your life every remaining day of our own. Rest in peace. Monday services private, family only. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Deerfield High School, Attention Track and Field, would be appreciated. Arrangements by Elegy Cremation and Memorial Services, 877-565-7070.
TRACE, RON WESLEY
