A new study by a UCLA researcher shows women dress better and look more attractive during the most fertile part of their monthly cycle. The study asked a panel of 42 men and women to compare photos of 30 college-age women during different times of the month and pick which photos were most attractive. The panel picked the photos taken when the women were ovulating 60 percent of the time, which lead author Martie Haselton called “highly statistically significant.” The panel also thought the women dressed increasingly attractively the closer they were to their most fertile day, Haselton said. Researchers weren’t sure if the women were trying to attract mates or simply reflecting a mood change.
