Patrick Angelo DeSando, of Palatine, born Jan. 27, 1918 in Chicago, died Oct. 8, 2006. Beloved husband of Rose, nee LaMendola and loving father of Dina Bellizzi; grandfather of Stephen (Amy) Bruns; brother of Anna Riddern and the late Bruno DeSando; uncle “Pat” to many nieces and nephews. He was a WWII Army veteran who served in the European Theatre and received the Purple Heart. He was a life member of the DAV and VFW. A memorial celebration of his life will be held in the chapel of Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2501 E. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights, IL on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006 between 1 and 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. 847-963-0005.
