Penn State coach Joe Paterno said Tuesday that he gets “nervous” when he looks at the Illinois game films. “Young kids some days aren’t so great and some days they’re great,” he said, referring to the Illini roster that is one of the youngest in Division I. “When you play them it’s hard to predict what’s going to happen.” . . . With regard to the Penn State quarterbacks injured in the Michigan game, Anthony Morelli and Daryll Clark, Paterno said: “There’s an outside chance we may have one or both of them, but I’m not optimistic. In the meantime, we have had to [use] a couple of young kids, [sophomore] Paul Cianciolo and [freshman] Kevin Suhey [in practice].”
