Thomas H. Ploss, 73, retired United States Administrative Law Judge, former Attorney for the Milwaukee Railroad, former president of the City Club of Chicago, railroad aficionado, active in civil rights struggle, formerly of Hyde Park and Wilmette, passed away Oct. 12, 2006 after a long illness. Cherished father of Ariel Ploss of California, George Henry Tolbert Ploss of Champaign, Miranda Lauren Tolbert Ploss of Chicago and the late Mitchell Anton Tolbert Ploss and one infant daughter; dear brother of Caroline (the late Donald) Owens and Mary Margaret Allen both of Sanford, FL, and Douglas (Mary-Jeanne) Ploss of Antioch, IL and the late James Ploss; dearest friend and former husband of Michele Tolbert-Ploss. Memorial service Saturday, Oct. 21, 12 noon at the Congregational Church of Park Manor, 7000 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Dr., Chicago.
