Ila Sclair Boikan, 101, died on August 31, 2006 at her North Lake Shore Drive residence in Chicago, IL. Mrs. Boikan was born on May 25, 1905. She touched many lives and many hearts with her kindess and noble character, having volunteered as a nurse for 25 years at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago. She was married to Dr. William S. Boikan, a highly respected cardiologist, who predeceased her. During both of their lifetimes, Dr. and Mrs. Boikan were instrumental in raising significant amounts of donations for St. Joseph Hospital. Mrs. Boikan had two children, a son, Sergius M. Boikan, a lawyer, who predeceased her and a daughter, Anina Lincoln, who is an award-winning stage and film actress. Services have been held.
