Miriam “Mim” Barr, 88, was born in White Plains, N.Y. in 1918 and she died in Evanston, IL on July 29, 2006. Mim lived on the North Shore for 57 years prior to moving to Stuart, FL in 1975. She remained in Florida and continued to spend her summers in Whitehall, MI until 1999 when she relocated to Evanston, IL. Mim married the late Robert C. Barr in 1975 and was the former wife of the late MacBride M. Butterfield. She is survived by three children, Jeffrey, Lawrence and Peter Butterfield; two daughters-in-law, Cynthia and Vija Buttefield; three step children, Susan Williams, Jeffrey Barr and Deborah Hart. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Kari, Brandon, Grant, Adam and Erica Butterfield; two great-grandchildren, Skeie and Chloe Liddle.
