Doris S. Weiss, 80, of Dixon, passed away at 9:10 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006, at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born June 8, 1926 in Chicago, IL. Daughter of Oscar and Marie Sollie; married William C. Weiss in Chicago on April 22, 1950, he predeceased her on July 18, 1996 in Lombard. Doris was a graduate of Kelvyn Park High School in Chicago. She was a key punch operator at Kester Solder for many years. Survivors include her daughter, Donna (Edward) Hartmann; son, William Weiss; grandchildren, Bryan (Traci) Hartmann, Kristy (Brad) Huffman, Billy Weiss and Andy Weiss; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Brendan, Meghan, Nicholas and Zachary; numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends, especially Jean Rexford.
