In a governor’s race with no strong choices, neither of the main candidates have used their advertising opportunities to give us one good reason to vote for them. Both Rod Blagojevich and Judy Baar Topinka have focused 100 percent of their television ads on the negatives of their opponent.
I, as a voter, would be much more comfortable voting for someone if I had a reason to vote for him or her rather than just against the person’s opponent.
Apparently even Blagojevich and Topinka themselves feel that they are the lesser of two evils, which does not bode well for Illinois.
