Barbara Jean Badner, nee Sefren, 70, on Oct. 20, 2006 at Three Rivers Health Hospice, Three Rivers, MI. Born in Chicago IL, she was the daughter of Evelyn, nee McClellan and John Sefren. She graduated Our Lady of Lourdes High School, Chicago in 1954 and South Western Michigan College. She was the wife of the late Richard Politowicz, Sr. In 1973, they moved to Marcellus, MI where they owned and operated the Poli-Pork Farm. They raised eight children Rich Jr. (Kathy), Mike (Gayle), Greg (Patsy), Cindy (Steve) Juskiewicz, Pam (Randy) Strong, Dave (Theresa), Dan (Kim) and Terri (Ray) Van Uum. On Sept. 4 1993, she married their life-long friend, Edward Badner and gained his children Dolores, Lorraine, Ed Jr., Michael, and Andrew. Barb will be sadly missed by her siblings Jim (Lynn), John, Larry (Norma), Judie (Zac) Falor and her aunt, Lorraine Filipowski. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Barb is preceded in death by her parents and her dear sister Pat Kolak. Barbara’s joy in life was raising eight healthy children and delighted in seeing her grandchildren grow. She was a kind and caring person, devoted to her family and even until her passing, gained strength from her family’s presence. Visitation will be at Mater Funeral Homein Marcellus, MI beginning at 10 a.m. until Noon with a memorial service at Noon on Saturday, Oct. 28 2006.
