– Never accuse Kirstie Alley of not holding up her end of a bargain. On Monday, nearly one year to the day after the former Fat Actress — and competitive swimmer — appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” she’ll show up once again, this time in a bikini, as promised. “I’ll never look like Giselle, I never did!” Alley, 55, blogged last month about her bikini pledge. “But maybe close to Bridget Jones or a Dove girl or something that is just fine and healthy and happy.”
– Toby Keith’s hit “As Good As I Once Was” has won country song of the year, and Country Music Hall of Famer Merle Haggard was honored as an icon during the BMI Music Awards. Keith also shared BMI’s songwriter of the year prize with Vicky McGehee and Ed Hill as the performing rights organization Broadcast Music Inc. handed out the awards Saturday in Nashville. Each had writing credits on three of the organization’s top 50 most-performed songs of the past year.
