Salma Hayek has a prince to thank for the recovery of some pricey jewelry. But look out, Salma–he’s also a bachelor.
ABC’s “Bachelor” Lorenzo Borghese actually ended up finding jewelry on its way to the actress in the back of a New York cab, Hayek told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show last week.
Hayek was set to wear $50,000 worth of bling (her estimate) to a recent benefit but “this poor girl that brought me the jewelry left it in a taxi,” she told DeGeneres, according to Us Weekly’s Web site.
“Borghese gets in the cab right after that girl–so random in New York–and he sees an envelope that says ‘Salma Hayek,’ ” she recalled. “Now his show is on ABC, and my show [‘Ugly Betty’] is on ABC, so he called ABC and said, ‘I think Salma Hayek just lost $50,000 worth of jewelry’ … and they gave it back.”
