Teemu Selanne scored his 498th and 499th career goals, Jean-Sebastien Giguere recorded his 24th shutout and the Ducks blanked the Sharks 5-0 Tuesday night in Anaheim in a matchup of the top teams in the Pacific Division.

– Jaromir Jagr scored twice and Henrik Lundqvist made 34 saves in his third career shutout as the Rangers beat the Hurricanes 4-0. Just two nights after Jagr became the 16th player to score 600 goals, he passed Jari Kurri to move into 15th place.

– Predators center Jason Arnott is expected to miss up to six weeks because of a knee injury. Arnott, who has 16 points, will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Wednesday.

– Red Wings backup goalie Chris Osgood is out three to four weeks with a broken left wrist. Joey MacDonald will back up Dominik Hasek.
