This is in response to “Concealed weapons in the wilderness” (Commentary, Nov. 26), by columnist Steve Chapman. I would like to congratulate Chapman for his balanced commentary on concealed weapons. The “wilderness,” however, extends to every part of the country.
Illinois and Wisconsin do not allow law-abiding citizens the right to protect themselves. They are now the safest states in the union for the criminals because the criminals know that no law-abiding citizen carries a gun!
