Beloved husband of the late Grace, nee Luke; loving father of Sue McCarty and Pat (Tatsu) Tanikawa; proud grandfather of Mike Tanikawa and Mika (Dan) Munger; dear brother of Rex McCarty, Phyllis Kincaid and the late Dale McCarty, Richard McCarty and Juna Rae Dunkle; half-brother of Vicki and Dinah.
