My dad, a veteran, gets all of his drugs for $7 apiece each month from Veterans Affairs. There is no way Medicare D, as it is currently run, could match that price. Moreover there is no “hole” in his plan. Medicare should be allowed to follow suit so that the government can negotiate better prices.
