This week, we welcome Dave Barry back to our pages with his annual review of the past year. Barry’s reflections are sure to inspire a chuckle-and some groans.
But as you laugh with Barry, here at the Magazine we are rejoicing that Rick Kogan has survived this year’s “Sidewalks” project, in which he spotlighted each of Chicago’s 50 City Council members. The project, which led Rick and photographer Charles Osgood to focus ward by ward on each alderman, spanned the last year.
As City Council dean and 14th Ward Ald. Ed Burke told Rick, “You know a lot of these people better than I did.”
Now, thanks to Rick, so do you.
