Phyllis L. Franklin, nee McClaren, age 81, of Chicago, IL, formerly of Richland Center, WI, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, at McHenry Medical Center in Illinois. She was born Aug. 5, 1925, in Richland County, WI, the devoted daughter of the late James and Neva (Ripley) McClaren. Survivors include four children, Linda Favia of Mount Prospect, Jim (Melba) Franklin of Chicago; Ann (Bob) Newcomb of Salem, WI, Alice Nevette (Steve) Johnson of Spring Grove; cherished grandmother of Andy, Amy (Chris), Brianna, Brandon, John, Jimmy, Jeff, Kelly (Anthony), and Kim; great-grandmother of Reese; two sisters, Carol Theobold and Elma Ross both of Cotter, AK. She was also preceded in death by her brother Eldon. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Pratt Memorial Chapel in Richland Center, WI. Rev. Chuck Hayes will officiate with burial in the Bloom City Cemetery.
