John M. Otto Jr., 77, of rural Humbird, WI formerly of Chicago, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006 at his home in Mentor Township. John was born on April 24,1929, in Chicago to parents John M. and Florence (Toussaint) Otto Sr. He graduated from high school in Chicago and married Nina Mullins on July 14, 1967 in Chicago. He was employed as a machinist for Continental Can Company for thirty-five years. Spending time with his family was one of John’s special pastimes. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking care of his lawn. He is survived by his wife, Nina; five sons, Jeff Otto of Chicago, Charlie Otto of Grays Lake, Jack (Julie) Otto of Mundelein, James (Stacy) Otto of Humbird, WI and Michael (Kristine) Otto of Humbird, WI; two daughters, Deborah (Wes) Blevins of Coeburn, Virginia, and Ginger Adkins of Aurora, Missouri; a sister, Alice (Ron) Hudec of Palatine; ten grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held at 4:00p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2007 at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, Hixton,WI with James Miller officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
