Roderick Polkoff, age 78, beloved husband of the late JoElyn; loving father of Steven (husband of Laura); dearest grandfather of Kathryn and Michael; fond brother of Eleanor (wife of Thomas) Prince; dear brother-in-law, cousin and uncle to many. Always the gentleman, he maintained his sincerity, caring, pride and sense of humor to the end. Memorial service for family and friends Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at 11 a.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church at 1024 Lake Ave. in Wilmette – luncheon immediately following at the church.
