I have been told that angels walk among us and we are unaware of their presence.
Recently I was touched by not one, but two.
We seniors go to Jewel every Tuesday. There, two quiet, unassuming people approached me and said, “Merry Christmas.”
I asked, “Do I know you?”
They smiled and said, “No.”
I was given an envelope with two fresh flowers on it. I thanked them, moved on and opened it a few aisles later.
Shocked, I saw a $50 gift card inside. They were going through the store selecting at random other older people. They said they do this every year and love it.
The card was signed, “Gidget and Bob.” I hope they had a wonderful holiday and know that many hearts were lightened by their kindness.
