If he’s oafish and off-putting in New York, think how out of place Donald Trump appears in the mellowed West Coast. That’s what happens in the sixth-season start of “The Apprentice,” which begins at 8:30 p.m. Sunday on NBC.

He’s yelling his lines louder than ever and shoehorning his family into the action–daughter Ivanka and son Donald Jr. are boardroom advisers; his wife and latest child also appear.

He’s losing the tie as he tools down the palm tree-edged road in a convertible and says, as if he’s the first to ever do so, “I love L.A.!”

What you really don’t want to see are his pasty white feet at beachside competitions.

But watch for Chicago-area competitors Aimee and Nicole.

Four more for your consideration

“The Apprentice” is just one of a number of new reality shows starting Sunday. Here’s a look at four others:

“Grease: You’re the One That I Want”

– 7 p.m. on NBC

Is America still hopelessly devoted to “Grease”? The show follows a group of Broadway wannabes as they audition for the lead roles in a new production of the musical.

“I’m From Rolling Stone”

– 9 p.m. on MTV

More than 2,000 aspiring journalists applied for summer positions at Rolling Stone magazine. Only six were accepted. Watch as they rub shoulders with celebrities, grapple with deadlines and fritter away their opportunity.

“Surreal Life Fame Games”

– 8 p.m. on VH1

Roommates from past “Surreal Life” seasons with nothing better to do (hello, Vanilla Ice!) compete for a mere $100,000. They must not have had any other offers.

“Shooting Sizemore”

– 9:30 p.m. on VH1

Follow troubled actor Tom Sizemore as he tries to put his druggy past behind him and shoots a low-budget Canadian horror film.
