We need to stop this war.
America spends billions of dollars fighting a war that we can’t win.
It’s not even against a country but, rather, against a concept.
Our leaders lied to us at the beginning, telling us they knew what they were doing, when the truth is otherwise.
Instead of stepping back and admitting they were wrong, those we elected continue to live with their heads in the sand, saying that we will eventually prevail if we just give it a little more time.
There is no end in sight and the cost is such that our children will forever be burdened with paying for our mistakes.
We need not cut and run but, rather, redeploy our resources to another area where they could be used better.
I believe it is time we end the war on poverty.
