Leonard A. Foster, 97, of Hoffman Estates, formerly of Chicago, beloved husband of the late Evelyn, nee Ellinger, whom he had married Nov. 22, 1941; loving father of Frank L. (Kathy), John A. (Nancy) and Elizabeth A. Foster and Alice J. (Giovanni) Meschi; cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Eric) Daehn, Jaime (Jason) Berland, David (Tracey), Michael (Lisa) and Robert (Michelle) Foster and Gwendolyn Neuzil (Michael Fleck); great-grandfather of Nathan Daehn, Carter Berland and Vincent, Ashley and Caitlyn Foster; and dear brother-in-law of Emily Tropple. Visitation Sunday, 3 to 8 p.m. at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services,330 W. Golf Rd., Schaumburg. Funeral service Monday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by interment in Arlington Cemetery in Elmhurst. Leonard was a devoted father and was especially known for his impromptu singing of songs from the 1940’s. In his younger years he was a member of the Galesburg Motorcycle Club and the Methodist Youth Club in Galesburg. He spent two years at Knox College where he studied napropathy. Leonard loved bowling and was formerly active with the senior bowling league at Poplar Creek Bowl in Hoffman Estates. In lieu of flowers, donation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 910 W.
