Saddam Hussein has been executed. What has that accomplished? Just more bloodshed.
I suppose the relatives of some of the victims feel a certain amount of retribution or vengeance. That is not justice or closure.
I wonder how we would feel if another country invaded us and executed George W. Bush for lying to the American people about weapons of mass destruction and being indirectly responsible for the death of 3,000 American soldiers.
I cannot help but think that matters would have been so much better if Saddam Hussein was still in power in Iraq and the U.S. had never invaded Iraq.
