Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
Since redeyechicago.com is asking readers to upload online video versions of the Bears fight song, we asked the ultimate Bear to break the ice and sing “Bear down, Chicago Bears.”
Mike Ditka, who played on the Bears’ 1963 NFL championship team and then coached the Bears to the 1986 Super Bowl title, sang for us Thursday from his restaurant. Like most of us, Ditka didn’t know all the words, but he put forth a championship effort. You can watch it all at redeyechicago.com/ditka.
Need a little encouragement to add your own version? Watch RedEye’s Jimmy Greenfield, Bag Boy, Stick Figure and others battle their way through the lyrics there too.
