Ronald Patrick Burton, Nov. 7, 1938 – Jan. 6, 2007, passed away from complications of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis on the evening of Jan. 6, 2007, in Portland, OR. Mr. Burton was preceded in death by his father, George Burton; mother, Genieve McCarthy; brothers, Warren, Lionel, Donald, Francis, and Lester; sisters, Genieve “Butsy” and Audrey; and son Robert M. Burton. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Patrick M. (Kirsten) Burton; grandchildren, Eleanor, Lucille, and Adelaide; partner, Judith Kallio, and ex-wife Mary Burton Prideaux. Mr. Burton, a native of Chicago, IL, was a graduate of Loyolla University of Chicago and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He was an employee of Control Data Corporation in the 1960s and was a self-employed, entrepreneur from the mid 1970s until his death. Mr. Burton achieved his 30th anniversary of sobriety on Dec. 31, 2006. A funeral service was held Thursday at Portland Memorial Funeral Home,in Portland, OR. Mass of Christian Burial Friday (Today) 11 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, 155 County Road 24, Medina with visitation 1 hour prior to Mass. Private Interment at Ft.
