Who should pay the $70,000 it cost to resod Soldier Field for Sunday’s playoff game? The Bears’ spokesman says the playoffs are “part of the Bears’ season.” The park district spokesman says the Bears “shouldn’t be expecting taxpayers to pay.” Why should they?
Certainly not unless the taxpayer-supported park district shares the take from those high-priced playoff tickets.
