Marvin L. Springer, 85, of Glenview, Jan. 11, 2007. WWII veteran and P.O.W., beloved husband of Rena; loving father of James (Elsa), Eileen, David (Dee) and the late Mark; proud grandfather of Karen, Diana, Jason, Ramsey, Savannah and Alexis; dear great-grandfather of five. Marvin was Director of Executive Compensation for Brunswick Corp., Chairman of the Board at Industrial Engineering College of Chicago and at Shults-Lewis Children’s Home. He was also an elder of the Church of Christ. Visitation Monday, 4 to 8 p.m., at the N.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home, 1240 Waukegan Rd., Glenview (2 blocks south of Lake Avenue on west side), where funeral service will be held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. Interment Ridgewood Cemetery.
