Last year, “The Golden Globes” moved to Monday from Sunday and squared off against the final two hours of the four-hour “24” season premiere. “Globes” drew 18.7 million viewers, “24” drew 14.9 million. This year, they’re at it again.
`24′
7 to 9 p.m. on WFLD-Ch. 32:
WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Will Jack Bauer figure out why field operative Curtis Manning is so cranky about working with a known terrorist apparently willing to help end the wave of attacks on American soil? Will the bad guy holding a suburban family hostage do something drastic? Will Chloe reveal why ex-husband Morris is so peeved at their boss?
`Golden Globes’
7 to 10 p.m. on WMAQ-Ch. 5:
WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Can Chicagoan Jennifer Hudson win for her role in “Dreamgirls”? Sacha Baron Cohen reportedly plans to attend as himself (i.e. not “Borat”) — how unfunny is that? If Jeremy Piven wins for “Entourage,” how will that make John Cusack feel? If “24” wins best TV drama, will that screw up the space-time continuum?
