John P. Mead, age 85, passed away Jan. 15, 2007, a two year Manhattan resident formerly of Richton Park and Dolton, a truck driver by profession, a United States Army Air Corp veteran serving in WWII, he was a member of Teamster Local #705, a forester and a member of the Elks, he was affiliated with the Civil Air Patrol. He is survived by his loving wife, Vida, nee Stapleton Mead; and a daughter, Donna (Randy) Coulombe; other family members include grandson, David Coulombe; many brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Family will receive visitors Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007 from 3 until 9 p.m. at K urtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way (corner of LaGrange Rd., south of Lincoln Highway), Frankfort, IL 60423.
