Jane M. O’Brien, age 86, of 1384 N. Henderson St., Galesburg, IL died at 11:05 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital. She was born June 22, 1920 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Harry and Ethel Connors Mutsch. She married Frank J. O’Brien in Chicago on April 11, 1953. He preceded her in death in 1954. She is survived by one daughter, Maureen (Greg) Schierer of Galesburg; one sister, Grace Kalish of West Dundee, IL; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and one sister. She worked as the office manager for A.G. Becker Investment Bankers in Chicago for 40 years, retiring in 1980. She lived in Chicago before moving to Galesburg in 2000. She graduated from Calumet High School in 1936 and Fox Secretarial College in Chicago. She attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Galesburg. Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007 in All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2007 at the Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, IL. Memorials can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
