Chicago: Coldest daybreak readings in 11 months and only the sixth morning with a single-digit reading at O’Hare this cold season. Light SW winds. Clear and sunny at the start–but clouds increase at night, which helps ease the overnight decline in temps.

HIGH: 28

LOW: 18

COLDEST OPEN SINCE FEB. 18

Note: Predicted high and low temperatures on the Tribune weather page are chronological–the “high” refers to the maximum reading expected during the day and the “low” is the minimum reading expected the following night.
